“We’ve been married for 38 years, and we’ve been UK fans forever! We’ve tailgated, gone to bowl games, rushed the field to celebrate massive victories, and felt the sting of bad losses. Two kids and soon to be four grandchildren later, we’re still die hard Big Blue fans. And believe it or not, this particular picture was taken last season, and it was the first time in all these years that someone seated near us fell asleep during a game. Guess we need to work on our Wildcat roar!”
I randomly found this couple as I walked through the stadium taking photos for Tops in Lexington before the UK-Georgia game on November 5, 2016. I loved their energy, and it remains one of my favorite fan photos of all time. Thanks to their daughter-in-law Keri for seeing the photo on the Tops website and eventually sending me their story!
